Jo, who plays Tanya Branning from 2006-13, asked character Jane Beale: “How’s Adam?” in conversation, leading to a confused look on Jane’s face. RECAP: EastEnders' Peter Beale points the Who killed Lucy? finger at newlyweds Ian and Jane Character Tanya was supposed to be referring to Ian Beale, Jane’s on-screen husband, but instead used Adam, because Ian is played by Adam Woodyatt. Shortly after, during a live scene, Abi Branning insisted Lauren would return shortly, but Max Branning told Abi: “She knows, she knows whether you killed Lucy.” But some people couldn't work out if the actor said 'you' or 'who'.
