Accused of stealing a fellow classmate, Miles Edgeworth's lunch money the entire class had turned on Wright. Despite being fingered as the culprit, Miles Edgeworth and Larry Butz came to Wright's defense, citing that the jury could not produce definitive evidence linking him to the crime, acquitting him of all charges. From that day forward, the three became best friends. Wright went on to study art and law at Ivy University while Miles took after his father and became an esteemed prosecutor. In his first four years, Miles recorded a perfect win record, something that was achieved only through the ruthless pursuit of a guilty verdict. Miles was virtually unrecognizable to Wright and he knew a face-off between the two was inevitable. Wright began to date Dahlia Hawthorne, who later testified against Wright in the murder of her ex-boyfriend, Doug Swallow. Previous to his death, Doug tried to warn Wright of Dahlia's murderous intent but then mysteriously died when the two got into a scuffle. Wright was successfully defended by rookie attorney Mia Fey and the murder was pinned on Dahlia, the true culprit. Mia's stalwart defense inspired Wright to pursue law under the tutelage of Mia and her firm. Fey & Co. Law Offices, thus beginning Phoenix Wright's illustrious career as an Ace Attorney. Have fun!
