Credits: Music - Ajay-Atul Lyrics - Guru Thakur Singers - Kiran Rao and Ajay Gogavale Director - Nagraj Manjule After receiving tremendous success with the pilot edition of the Satyamev Jayate Water Cup, which created an annual water storage capacity of 1,368 crore litres in three talukas of Maharashtra in early 2016, Paani Foundation launched Satyamev Jayate Water Cup’s second edition in thirty talukas of the state on 3rd January 2017 at a special event in Mumbai amidst the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra and several leading lights from entertainment and industry. The Satyamev Jayate Water Cup is essentially a competition between different villages to see who can do the maximum work for watershed management and water conservation in the period of the competition. The competition period is 8th April to 22nd May 2017. The top three villages across Maharashtra will get a cash prize of Rs. 50 lakhs, Rs. 30 lakhs and Rs. 20 lakhs respectively. The last date for villages in the thirty selected talukas to apply is 31st January 2017.
