- description: 50 people have died as a result of heavy rains in Krasnodar Territory in southern Russia. This was reported by rescue services. On Friday the city of Gelendzhik recorded some 96 millimeters of precipitation in just 6 hours, forcing the authorities to introduce a state of emergency. Security concerns led to the shutting down of 17 power substations, leaving about 20 thousand people without electricity.
