He sees the security guards behaving rudely with them and when the security guard is about to hit the Hindus with his whip, Akbar stops him. Next day he orders for the shopkeepers, the security and the Hindus to be brought in front of him. He passes a judgment against those taking bribe and decides to remove every kind of tax on the holy trips that Hindus make. This decision of Akbar does not go well with many senior members of the Kingdom and they feel that removing tax will decrease the Kingdoms wealth. But Thodarmal gives a clear cut explanation in favor of removal of tax. Akbar passes his final judgment and brings an end to this unfair tax system. Jodha Akbar is a sixteenth century love story about a political marriage of convenience saga between a Mughal emperor, Akbar, and a Rajput princess, Jodhaa. But much more then that it's the marriage of contrasts.
