Perhaps it was on a diet or short of cash. But what is undeniable is how greedy this seagull is, after it was caught on camera flying through an open kitchen window and scoffing an entire tuna salad prepared for lunch. The greedy gull brazenly landed on the kitchen worktop and promptly helped itself to the fish, lettuce and cheese. It then started on a second plate of haddock and chips before attempting to fly back out the window - but was so stuffed it careered into the wall before finally escaping. Amazingly, both plates of food had been laced with large amounts of black pepper as part of a prank which Conlett White was playing on housemate Richard Hammond. He set up a camera to capture Richard's reaction - but instead caught the thieving seagull, which appeared unfazed by the spicy dish. The pals, who share a flat in Hove, East Sussex, have now nicknamed the super-tough bird 'Steven Seagull' after action-film actor Steven Seagal. Google worker Richard, 30, said: 'He just stormed into our kitchen and munched his way through the dinner Conlett had prepared for me as a joke, and really loved it. 'I hate pepper, I can't stand the stuff - that's why Conlett laced the food with it. 'Steven Seagull is full of sterner stuff than me, it seems. 'Now can't even have our windows open in this hot weather without Stevie coming in and munching all the food. 'I have lived in my home for five years - five summers - but this year the seagulls seem to be a lot more daring. 'I'm thinking of getting a pretend eagle to put out on the windowsill to keep them away.' The pair have been having a prank war for 15 years and Richard is now plotting his revenge. He said: 'We can't leave any food out now if the window is open - he's like a hungry ninja on the prowl.'
