- description: *gasp* Having already tackled an updated version of Tom Lehrer's Elements and Yakko's Nations of the World, I thought the obvious next challenge would be to fully update Wakko's capitals song. The lyrics are too long to list here, but for those who are interested, here's the source I used: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_and_capitals_with_currency_and_language I know folks will inevitably ask why so-and-so place wasn't included...if it's not on that Wikipedia page (as of September, 2014), it's not in the song. 11 minutes was enough anyway...for those who want to write more verses, do it! Also, if I made any egregious pronunciation errors, let me know. For example, I pronounced "Kiribati" phonetically in my earlier Nations of the World video, and someone was kind enough to point out that it's pronounced "Kiribass" so I fixed it in a newer version. And apologies to Kentuckians, but the line should read "and you can live in *Frankfort* in your *old* Kentucky home." I'll do it right next time around, I swear. I probably will record this again with better sound and a piano that's in tune, but for now this was a test to see if I could even get through the song. Let's just say that it took about 7 or 8 hours of straight recording to get this all in one take. It pretty much kicked my ass, so I hope you enjoy.
