Randwick Bowling Club ('the Bowlo") is located on the corner of The Avenue and Cowper Street -- just a short stroll away from the Randwick Shops in Belmore Road or up the hill from Randwick Racecourse. Things certainly have changed for the Bowlo over the last 120 years -- yes that right -- 120 years and still going strong. More recently in 2011 the club merged with, and is now under the management of the Randwick Club, making us the venue of choice for Bare Foot Bowls in the Eastern Suburbs. In January 2013 the Randwick Club undertook a complete renovation of the Bowlo. The renovations were completed in November the same year and the Bowlo is now the perfect setting for corporate functions, birthday party's, anniversary's etc. The newly renovated Bowlo now includes the following facilities and services for members and guests. Welcome to the wonderful world of Bare Foot Bowls. It's easy and fun to play and no previous experience is necessary. Basically if you can pick up a lawn bowl and roll it along the grass you can play Bare Foot Bowls. Bare Foot Bowls are played on the Social Green (situated adjacent to the school next door). Games will be either played North -- South or East -- West depending upon the status of the green. Bare Foot Bowls in the Eastern Suburbs is a great way to entertain corporate clients, celebrate birthdays and special anniversaries, develop team building skills with employees -- basically it's just fun without all the baggage that goes with other sports. Bare Foot Bowls is best played as a team game -- with each team having the same number of players. For those who haven't played before there is no need to worry as the Bowlo will have someone on hand to get you on your way. Green space is available for booking on Sundays (and also may be available during the week -- just give us a call to check availability). With the recently completed renovations the Bowlo is the perfect venue for entertaining your friends, family and business colleagues. The Bowlo can accommodate small parties through to functions for up to 100 guests. Between the Bowlo and the Randwick Club we have Function Rooms available for hire to suit any occasion.
