- description: Idiots on the line: Shocking moment two men cheat death by inches in game of chicken with a speeding freight train. Casually standing on a bridge, the two men appear relaxed as they chat to each other. But they are actually risking their lives as they play a deadly game of 'chicken' - daring themselves to stand in front of a train until leaping away just before it hits them. The idiotic pair, who are being filmed, fool around before they jump off the railway tracks into water, as a speeding freight train narrowly misses them as it roars past. The duo, dressed in shorts, are seated with their legs dangling over the side of the train tracks, and wave at the camera. Then they get up, stretch, and wave their arms around, as the train thunders toward them. One appears to just fall forward into the water, while the other jumps into the rive below. The video was uploaded onto Live Leak, by a user called Fox29Fox, who gave the heartstopping video the title: 'Death Wish: Pure Unadulterated Lunacy'. The death-defying stunt was apparently pulled in India. The user comments that the: 'Poor train driver would be having the most slow and agonizing heart attack'. They also questioned the bravery - and intelligence - of the pair, writing: 'Either you have to have b**** of Kryptonite or Brain of a size of an Amoeba.' 'Pure freakin (sic) MADNESS.' The potentially fatal stunt is popular in the sub-continent, where both youngsters and adults risk their lives for the thrill. Fare-dodging train passengers in India risk death or serious injury by riding on the roofs of the carriages to avoid ticket inspectors. There is a tradition of passengers also hanging off the sides of the trains if they cannot get a seat. Their idiotic antics have appeared just weeks after a teenage boy died playing chicken on the railroad tracks when he failed to get out of the way in time of an on-coming train. Austin Price, 15, died when he was struck by a train near San Francisco in a game of chicken on April 13, 2013, according to the Examiner. Passengers on the northbound train describe the horrific sight of seeing kids in tears and pointing under the train.
