'Gauhar Khan' the host of ‘India’s Raw Star’ was 'slapped' by an unknown person while shooting for a finale episode at Reliance Studio, Goregaon. The actress was later seen miffed with the production team and refused to continue shooting. “Everything was going smooth until someone from the crowd started teasing "Gauahar Khan". In her response "Gauhar Khan" started protesting and the situation started getting uglier. "Gauahar Khan" started protesting and got into the questioning mode for allegedly being teased. Things then started turning messy and the man in question "Slapped Gauahar Khan", said a source as quoted by a daily. The person who "Slapped Gauahar Khan" is recognized as Akil Malik. Mumbai police have detained Akil Malik, 24, for "Slapping Gauahar Khan" and Molesting her. "Malik had been coming over to the show, as a member of the audience, for the past two to three days. He had been observing "Gauhar Khan". Around 8pm on Sunday, while the shoot was on, Malik suddenly got up and went on the stage. He tried to touch "Gauhar Khan" who was taken aback and resisted. Malik then 'Slapped Gauhar Khan'. He asked her how she could wear skimpy outfits and dance to cheap songs despite being a Muslim," a police official said. Contestants on the show and security persons rushed to Khan's aid. They overpowered Malik before calling the cops. Sources as quoted by a daily said Malik was manhandled. "We have sent him for a medical examination to find out if he was drunk," said zonal DCP Panjabrao Ugle. The ugly brawl did not end there. Apparently India’s Raw Star finalist contestant Jaffery Iqbal got involved."Jeffery Iqbal decided to teach the man in the question a lesson. He started beating the man who first 'Slapped Gauhar Khan' and then showed the audacity. A case has been filed against Akil Malik and the legal process has begun already.
