If you're using a oil based or silicone based foundation you can use a sponge, fingers or foundation brush. HOWEVER: As with most things, there are exceptions. I've noticed that using a beauty blender sponge with MAC Face and Body is still a great way to go - and the sponge doesn't absorb as much of the product as MUFE Face and Body. And - before you think your new foundation is horrid! Try different methods before binning it. Sometimes just a change of tool can make a bad foundation into a great one.
