In view of the cyclone alert, the operations at the city's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport were suspended from 11am till 2pm. Over 150 incidents of tree collapse were reported in Mumbai and suburban areas. As a precautionary measure, the Bandra-Worli Sea link has also been shut. India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, warning of very heavy rains at isolated places with strong winds on Monday as a cyclone is likely to pass close to the Mumbai coast. PM Narendra Modi has also spoken to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray regarding the current situation.
