Just by doing this a simple return trip home suddenly feels all the more enjoyable. Four years ago I came across an 83 year old man while traveling around my home prefecture of "Kumamoto." For 40 years he had worked on a ferry on the Kuma River, ensuring that the lonesome villages in the mountain valley do not become isolated. This man Hachiro taught me about what it means to work. When tying together a record of this short trip, I came away with a textbook for work.
