- description: A MAN has survived falling nearly 20 metres from his truck as it flipped and nearly tumbled off a major Melbourne freeway in a dramatic peak-hour crash. Police say it will be several hours before heavy haulage can remove the truck, which has been secured but is dangling from the Bolte Bridge, part of the busy CityLink tollway. The road's inbound lanes have been closed, causing major delays, after the accident, shortly after 6.30am. The driver of the truck, aged in his 30s, was thrown from the cabin and fell on to Mark Street, which runs below the bridge. The other driver, a man in his 20s, had minor injuries and was taken to the Alfred Hospital. Melbourne Fire Brigade assistant chief officer Adam Dalrymple said it appeared the truck driver had swerved to avoid a car that had suddenly veered in front of him. "From all reports the car veered across and the truck took some evasive action and that's how the incident began,'' he told reporters at the scene
