JOHN’S, NL) December 3, 2014 - The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit is requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying the individual responsible for an armed robbery at a commercial business on Kenmount Road in St. John’s, NL. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at approximately 7:45 pm RNC officers from Patrol Services, Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Section responded to an armed robbery at the Ramada Hotel located on Kenmount Road in St. John’s. An armed male suspect entered the hotel and demanded cash before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries sustained during the commission of the offence. The male suspect is described as being approximately 5’10” in height and between 160- 180 lbs. At the time of the incident the suspect was described as wearing a black jacket with a hood, white ball hat with a red brim and black sneakers. The suspect also had a Band-Aid on the right side of his face and facial hair. The RNC General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate this armed robbery and is seeking the assistance of the general public in identifying the individual responsible.
