Drivers couldn't believe their eyes when the creature started barrelling down the road towards them. The enormous yellow creature, star of the Despicable Me and Minions films, created traffic carnage on a busy road in Dublin. Invasion: The gigantic minion broke free from a nearby funfair The giant inflatable had been tethered at a funfair, but came loose at about 3pm and began terrorising the Irish bank holiday traffic, reports the Irish Mirror. Incredible pictures posted by Facebook user Erin Van Londen show crowds of bystanders help the Garda - Irish police - deflate the massive yellow menance. The amazing images caused much hilarity on social media. Another, Steve Doody, added: "Meanwhile in Dublin, Minions invade..." The Garda have been contacted for comment.
