- description: Yesterday, SPIN 1038 gave three Dublin families the surprise of their lives . Childhood friends, Michelle, Aoife and Christine have been living in Australia for the past year. A few weeks ago they contacted SPIN 1038 with a special request. The girls’ long-time wish was to travel together, which is what brought them to the farms of Australia. While they have been enjoying their time together, the girls found it hard to be apart from their families and decided between them to come home earlier as a surprise. The girls tell SPIN 1038 “Being away from home has been extremely hard and we all miss our families so much. We've saved really hard to make it home so we want to make it as special as possible! We are so grateful that SPIN 1038 made our surprise a reality!” Steve K of SPIN Hits phoned the girls’ mothers and explained that they could help their daughters win a trip home by playing a game. Little did they know that the girls flew into Dublin earlier this morning and were waiting to surprise them! When the families failed to answer all of Steve’s questions correctly, they were devastated. But instead of getting a consolation prize, the mothers saw their girls come bursting through the doors...
