  • description: On Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at 3:30 p.m., on the lower eastside of Manhattan, officers were informed that a 49-year-old woman was floating in the East River underneath the Manhattan Bridge. Emergency Service Unit Officers, Detective Coll and Detective Stevens responded to the location, spotted the women, and descended into the water. The detectives swam out approximately 30ft from the shore line, secured the woman and brought her aboard a NYPD Harbor Launch Boat. The woman was removed to Bellevue Hospital for medical evaluation where she is currently listed in stable condition.
