- description: Turbo failure on the van caused the engine to run on the engine oil. This meant engine speed was uncontrolled and unless stopped would cause the engine to blow itself to bits. Stalling the engine is one way to stop it. Obviously the smoke was a serious risk to other motorists as visibility was down to inches.
