- description: Calgary Hitmen captain Micheal Zipp scored the much-anticipated teddy bear goal with 13 seconds remaining in the first period of The Brick Teddy Bear Toss, cascading a waterfall of stuffed toys from 17,601 fans on Nov. 26, 2016, at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Thanks to the generosity of the Calgary community and The Brick, 60 local agencies will receive 23,924 teddy bears this holiday season. Since the inaugural toss on Dec. 16, 1995, the Hitmen, with the support of their partners and fans, have collected 323,343 stuffed toys for Calgary and surrounding area agencies.
