Full Story: George Clooney greeted fans as he and his fiancee Amal Alamuddin left a charity event in Florence, Italy on Sunday night. An excited crowd had waited outside the city's town hall, the Palazzo Vecchio, for a glimpse of Clooney and his almost-wife Amal Alamuddin, a human rights lawyer. Clooney was one of a number of celebrities that flocked to the Renaissance city to support Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli in raising funds for charity. The Celebrity Fight Night charity event has come to Italy for the first time. Throughout its history, the event has raised nearly $95 million for several charities. Other celebrities attending the gala included singers Lionel Richie and Laura Pausini. The couple are expected to marry later in September at Lake Como where Clooney has owned a villa for several years. Sunday evening was the culmination of four days of fund-raising with the proceeds going to Andrea Boccelli's foundation and to the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Centre that finances research for Parkinson's Disease.
