- description: This competition was certainly one of the most interesting of these 2012 World juniors championships . Not only because of the superb 85,57m junior world record set in the 5th round by the Quatari Ashraf Amgad ELSEIFY but also because out of him all the other top 8 throwers had a chance to get a medal with performances between 74,51m and 76,74m. ELSEIFY took the lead in the 1st round with an easy 77,23m and then was improving nearly at each attempt (77,23m-78,61m-81,84m-81,60m-85,57m-X) to win by a near 9m margin. The silver medal went to the 2011 World Youth champion Bence PASZTOR from Hungary with 76,74m and the bronze was finally decided in the 4th round in favor of the Uzbeck Shurob KHODJAEV 76,16m . All these young throwers have pretty good lokking techniques and may well become the next elite senior generation. A real good thing for this event which is in a relative low phase in the moment. DP
