Bicycle thefts are becoming an increasing problem for the Irish public, but basic operations like this one undertaken by the Police will help to deter the rise in thefts across the city and country. In this video, the man wearing a hat is an undercover Detective acting as a buyer, the two other men wearing tracksuits are the thieves, trying to sell the bike they earlier stole. Notice that as the undercover Policeman removes his hat (as a signal), a team of Detectives arrive in an unmarked Garda car to arrest the two criminals.
