- description: A Chinese toddler has survived a near-death experience after she was suspended over a street by nothing but her head. Recently released video footage shows the incident which took place in China's Guangzhou province on Sunday. Reports claim that the little girl snuck out onto the fourth-story balcony and then slipped through a crack in the floor. She was saved from the four-story fall when her head got caught in the grate, preventing her from taking the plunge to the street below. As seen in the video, a brave neighbor climbed out of a downstairs window and scaled the side of the building in an attempt to save the dangling child who was moments away from falling to her death. Holding on to the side of the building, the neighbor held the child up from her feet as she gripped for dear life onto the ledge above. As the event grew to a close, several neighbors reportedly opened up a bed sheet in the street below, to presumably catch the child if she happened to slip from the 40 foot balcony. After several minutes of wondering if the child would survive or fall several stories, the youngster eventually managed to pull himself back into his home
