In this series, Nye will demystify the cutting edge science behind NASA's groundbreaking Juno mission to Jupiter. Watch Nye bring the Juno mission to life with his signature blend of props, performance, and solid scientific know how. Each episode of Why With Nye will focus on a different aspect of the Juno mission. Nye will explore all sides of the mission, from defending against deadly planetary radiation belts, to mapping Jupiter's mysterious interior. In each episode a prop filled "desktop demonstration" will explain the scientific principles at play. Juno is a NASA New Frontiers mission to the planet Jupiter. The multi year mission will place a spacecraft in orbit around Jupiter, and will study Jupiter's gravity field, magnetic field, and polar magnetosphere. The Juno mission will help to answer questions such as: how did Jupiter form? Does it have a core? How much water does it have? Answering these questions is the key to understanding how our solar system, and ultimately our home planet Earth formed.
