- description: Recently, East Japan Railway Company (JR East) donated retired coaches to the Philippine National Railways (PNR). These coaches were in good condition despite of their advanced age. PNR is utilizing these coaches in the Bicol Express Service, Special Holiday Services, and some are used in the Metro-Commuter Line (Tutuban-Alabang). Some are still idle in the Tutuban Yard but we hope to see them running sooner or later. These Japanese Trains are very much appreciated for without these, the Main Line South could have remained dead. Thank you Japan!
