Beach Soccer is a variation of association football played on a beach or sand pitch. Although it involves basic football techniques, the sport requires a great degree of improvisation, physical strength, and flexibility on sand. Today, Beach Soccer is one of the fastest growing sports showcased internationally, with increased visibility in the sports industry and television coverage in 170 countries worldwide. The Beach Soccer competition will take place from 24th to 28th June with one medal event. Eight men’s teams, comprising of 96 athletes in total, will go head-to-head over the five days of the competition. The glorious Beach Arena located in the European Games Park will host every game with spectators gathering to support the Games and cheer on every goal.
