Engine of Chevrolete Impala of 2014 has follow specs: 2.4L/182-hp/172-lb-ft DOHC 16-valve I-4 plus 15-hp/110-lb-ft electric motor; 2.5L/195-hp/190-lb-ft DOHC 16-valve I-4; 3.6L/303-hp/264-lb-ft DOHC 24-valve V-6. Chevrolete Impala of 2014 really looks great and has lots of high points however i have a few reservations. Like I said, this car looks great...TOO great.This car shares too much with the current Cadillac XTS. It is similar in size, as the Similar CUE system has a similar layout and even has that similar ambient lighting and most importantly has the same engine. This can spell possible catastropy for Cadillac. Sure some Cadillac buyers will buy and XTS just because it is a Cadillac, but the smart consumer would opt for the much cheaper Impala LTZ. Sure it lacks a few of the niceties that the XTS has but its practically the same. GM should not have made this car share so much with what is now Cadillac's new Flagship. Cadillac really needs to develop its own engines and have multiple engine choices if they want to compete with the Germans (Mercedes has 4 different ones for the E-Class) and not nix its new luxo sedan because of a Terrific new Chevrolet.
