Amazing CCTV: Bag thief smashes through glass door during escape

- description: CCTV footage shows a bag thief in Australia running through a glass door as he attempts to escape a shopping centre. The man allegedly stole a purse from a 50-year-old woman, before running and crashing into the glass, knocking him flat on the ground. "He made a pretty heavy impact. When he actually hit the glass he was knocked out," shop owner Greg Rice told reporters. According to the police, bystanders, unaware of the robbery, assisted the man before an accomplice stepped up and threatened them to let go. "When I first came out here, I didn't realise it was a bag snatch either. Didn't know what went on, really. I just thought somebody ran into the door, but as it turned out, when I saw how keen he was to get away, we realised something was up," Rice added. The pair fled the scene in a stolen green Lexus, with Western Australia Police continuing to search for them. Report by Sophie Foster.
