Investigators hope to identify the man speaking with Taneesha BROWN, who is believed to have been attending an event that was taking place at Bur Oak Secondary School on the night of Tuesday, January 12, 2016. Investigators are asking this man to come forward to police. It is believed she spoke with the unidentified man in the video at approximately 10:48 p.m. The man is not a suspect, rather a witness who had a brief conversation with her before she walked away, southbound towards 16th Avenue. Taneesha BROWN was last seen on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at approximately 10:30 p.m., in the area of McCowan Road and Castlemore Avenue. She had told family members she was going outside for some fresh air and did not return. As a result of the video showing her last known direction of travel, officers with the York Regional Police Marine Unit will be conducting operations in the ponds west of Bur Oak Secondary school today. Officers will be using a remotely-operated vehicle to check areas of open water in the partially frozen ponds.
