- description: On Friday May 3rd 2013 at 7:00am an unknown person started a fire at Holy Rosary Church located at 2879 Riverside Drive East. Several Molotov Cocktails were discovered at the scene. A West Side Basement window was smashed and one of the Molotov Cocktails was thrown into the basement of the church and it ignited. Although the damage was minimal, it could have been much worse had a citizen not spotted the fire. At 5:00am an unknown male was captured on video surveillance on the church property acting suspiciously. The male was observed casing out the church before being lost behind the west side of the building. Although the fire did not happen until 7:00am it is obvious that the male in question was up to something. Investigation has revealed that the person responsible for setting the fire may have attended earlier to bring items to the scene or break the window involved. The male in the video is a white male 5'10" to 6 feet tall; he is wearing a dark coloured hooded sweatshirt with Dark Coloured Basketball type shorts with light coloured stripes on the side. He is wearing gloves and dark shoes. The male appears to be bald or wearing some type of tight fitting mask. Ehen the male can reaches the corner of Cadillac Street and Riverside Drive he appears to notice a westbound vehicle on Riverside Drive and he turns away from the oncoming car and pulls his hood over his head. The male is last seen walking west at the front of the church.
