OODA is an acronym for Observe, Orient, Decide, Act used by the military for many years. Very briefly Total Defense Professor gives an overview of a situation of a lady finishing with some shopping and she is going back to her car with her keys in her hand as she is walking to her car she has a heighten sense of Awareness around her as she is OBSERVING her surrounding area when she notices someone "iffy" not sure of him she ORIENTS herself she has to make a decision. She DECIDES to keep her distance and keep moving towards her car thus she has ACTed upon her decision however if the situation was different and she might have to act quickly. So this describes how to use the OODA Loop in our everyday life assessing our situations with OBSERVING, ORIENTING, DECIDING, ACTING the OODA Loop. We have to refuse to become Victims of Crime and Violence by educating ourselves and children these important Personal Safety and Self Defense actions and always be aware of your surroundings and implement the OODA Loop to help you. The next video that the Total Defense Professor will be speaking on will be the Pepper Spray and How to Use It for Self Defense. Lots of women have Pepper Spray but really don't know how to use it so stay tuned until the next video. Remember Refuse To Be A Victim!
