- description: I found a bike in the woods a couple of weeks ago, and it seems to have been there for quite some time. This is a section of Pisgah National Forest where you are very unlikely to find litter—this is not some city park. If this bike was left in an emergency, the owner certainly didn’t make it look so, and nobody has come back to get it. I considered the circumstances briefly; maybe someone was hurt and left the bike? Maybe there was a crash and someone was rescued? None of these scenarios explain how the bike was thrown so far off trail with no destruction path. This was clearly a rage quit. So today we’re going to clean the forest, have some fun, and hopefully get paid for it. Enjoy!
