The targeted areas were full of civilians, and a large number of victims was recorded including women and children, many of whom died due to inhaling toxic substances in the complete absence of the medical resources and medicines that are needed for dealing with such cases. The victims were sprayed with water and provided with oxygen via artificial respiration and primitive means in simple field hospitals. The chemical rockets were fired two days after the arrival of an international team on a mission to Damascus to investigate the use of chemical weapons on August 21, 2013. It is worth mentioning that the residence of the Inquiry Mission is only 15 minutes away from the chemical attack's site, and yet they are not expected to investigate the crime. L'attaque a coûté la vie à beaucoup de civils, un grand nombre d'entre eux sont des femmes et des enfants ; ils sont morts à cause de l'inhalation des substances toxiques. Vu l'absence des moyens pour soigner leurs blessures, on a utilisé l'eau et on leur a fait de la respiration artificielle dans des hôpitaux de fortune très simples et non équipées. Cette utilisation des missiles à tête chimiques vient après deux jours de l'arrivé à Damas des inspecteurs de l'ONU à fin d'examiner l'utilisation présumée d'armes chimiques en Syrie. La résidence des inspecteurs n'est qu'à 15 mn par voiture du lieu de l'attaque, et pourtant, les inspecteurs n'iront pas sur les lieux. A ciò si aggiunge la totale assenza di posti in cui curare i feriti, le uniche cose che possono fare è gettare loro dell'acqua e dare loro dell'ossigeno per la respirazione; sono gli unici mezzi di cui dispone l'ospedale da campo.
