- description: On the 22nd October, we were called by the Mara Elephant Project to rescue a young elephant from the Masai Mara, Kenya who had been spotted standing deep in grief over her mother’s body: killed by a poisoned spear struck to her face. Devastatingly, just 24 hours before this youngster had been photographed happily playing with her mother.
