- description: #Shorts This is a weighted hammer that I started as a carving project a long time ago as a bit of fun. I decided to turn it into a leather-faced weighted mallet to use with my hold-fasts, and other assemblies. I messed around with some carving on the handle - I'm quite pleased with how this turned out. In hindsight I should've used something more chunky like oak, but woulda coulda shoulda - and this would never be here if not for the two scraps of pine I had lying around! Hope you enjoy the final assembly, let me know whatchya think!
