The Obama Family touched down on Air Force One at Aldergrove International Airport in Belfast, Northern Ireland (United Kingdom) on Monday, 18th June, with the President of the United States Barack Obama heading for the 39th G8 Summit at the Lough Erne Resort, County Fermanagh, hosted by British Prime Minister David Cameron. Meanwhile; Michelle, Malia and Sasha Obama made their way to Dublin Airport as part of their 2-day tour of Ireland. A number of events were hosted in the capital city for the Obamas, taking in Trinity College, the Gaiety Theatre and the US Embassy. The three stayed overnight at the five-star Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin City. On Tuesday morning, County Wicklow welcomed the First Family, who were given a private guided tour of Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains. The park and surrounding roads were closed to the public, as a major security operation swept across the peaceful countryside. Hundreds of security personnel were involved, involving An Garda Siochana, Irish Defence Forces, United States Secret Service and United States Armed Forces. Officers patrolled on land, in the air and on the nearby lakes. After a couple of hours spent walking the beautiful Irish landscape (in some rare sunny and warm weather), the First Ladies made their way back to Dublin. There they met up with U2 lead singer Bono, before rejoining husband and father Barack to travel into Continental Europe, flying first to Berlin, Germany. __ I do not claim to own this video, it is being used for creative/educational purposes.
