From San Diego and Los Angeles in the south, up to the San Francisco and Sacramento metro areas in central California, and then Portland and Seattle in the north, about 1 out of every 6 Americans lives here. But despite being so populated, in between the Bay Area and Portland, Oregon is a large area with very few people living in it.
