In Canada, after the treatment of Naveen "Spiceman" Palapody at the hands of Toronto Police -- he was charged with various candy-ass criminal offences after throwing spices at a man who had attempted to steal his minivan -- many people would have thought that private citizens simply weren't allowed to defend themselves, and that petty criminals were to run rampant. Then enter Gatineau convenience store owner Zhen Yang, who bear sprayed and spanked an armed robber in his convenience store. In what is sadly becoming an increasingly uncommon display of common sense, Gatineau police declined to lay criminal charges against Mr Yang, and instead layed charges against, get this, THE ROBBERS! Which the far-left legal establishment in Canada must certainly think is quite the injustice. But enough about the asshats. To describe Mr Yang as a hero may or may not be a little hyperbolic. I'll leave that up to you to decide. But without quesiton Mr Yang has set a sterling example for all Canadians: don't let two-bit petty thugs push you around and take what's yours. Fight back.
