- description: To celebrate the 2013 Gathering, the Leprechauns will be Gathering in Glenties again on St Patrick's Day Sunday 17th March 2013. We are hoping to get 2013 leprechauns to celebrate the year of the gathering and also to break the GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS which we attempted last year, but unfortunately were pipped at the post by Bandon in Co Cork. We are going to try to get the record this year, but for that we need your HELP. If you have your costume from last year then you are all set to take part just register that you want to take part, if you want to take part and are looking for a costume you can contact us on our new facebook page which has been set up especially for the event, you can email: carmeldoherty10@gmail.com or tel: Carmel on +353 (0)87 9307423 A family fun filled day is planned this year with live music and refreshments being served in the waiting area and live entertainment on the street. we are also planning our own GLENTIES BOOK OF RECORDS which will take place on the day. This will be a great family day out so don't miss out get yourself registered a.s.a.p. to ensure we put GLENTIES on the map as the holder of the Guinness Book of Records holder for the Largest Gathering of people dressed as Leprechauns in one place.
