- description: Raashtrageet ! Raashtrahit ! The National Anthem, written by Gurudev Ravindranath Tagore, has always inspired one and all. It continues to evoke patriotism and pride in all Indians. Many creative persons have paid tribute to it by presenting it innovatively. Versatile Marathi stage and film actor-director Pushkar Shrotri, was not an exception to this. He had already filmed the national anthem twice before this. One of the videos featured 75 renowned Marathi artistes. This time, his idea was to present the national anthem with 12 veteran instrumentalists from the world of Indian Classical music. The concept was unique. But it also seemed like an impossible task. Ameya Khopkar, President of Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena, has often extended whole-hearted support to deserving creative projects. When he learnt about this concept, he immediately adopted this mammoth project and executed it as his own. Renowned professionals from other creative fields offered their contribution to various departments. The sound track was arranged by Kamlesh Bhadkamkar with the help of Aditya Oke, Vinayak Netke and Shridhar Parthasarathi. Avdhoot Wadkar was the sound recordist and sound engineer Vijay Dayal monitored the final sound mix. Actor-director Manava Naik and her production house Strawberri Pictures took charge of line production. Filmmaker and poet Abhijit Panse composed the Hindi couplets that appear on the website. Maestros like Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasiya, Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhat, Ustad Shahid Parvez, Pandit Ananthpadmnabhan, Pandit Vikku Vinaykram, Pandita Dr. N. Rajam, Rakesh Chaurasiya, Dilshad Khan, Sangeeta Shankar and Ustad Zakir Hussain were happy to feature in the video. They congratulated the team for their sincerity and effort. We are proud to mention that all these great musicians performed absolutely free. It was a big challenge to get these busy people to Mumbai for the recording. But the team achieved this perfectly well. The mere presence of all these great musicians transformed the entire ambience in Mumbai’s Ajeevasan Studio. The crew was enthralled as the tabla came alive with enchanting beats and the melodious flute played the familiar tune of Jana Gana Mana... Later, Marathi and Hindi Film Cinematographer, Mahesh Limaye, beautifully captured these rare moments and with smooth editing, we were ready with a magnificent filming of our National Anthem. Raising funds for such projects often proves to be a task. But fortunately, Nishant Deshmukh, Managing Director of Sugee Developers, came forth with his noble intention of not just offering financial help but a strong all round support for the project. For him, it was all about contributing to a great cause. Saurabh Karandikar, Ketan Joshi, Sachin Joshi, Prem Jhangiani and Pradnya Shetty left no stone unturned to publicize this creation. We hope you feel all the excitement and pride that we experienced during the process of producing this video. Thank you. Jai Hind!
