The middleweight looked sharp against journeyman Kieron Gray, with stylish combinations and a couple of sharp hooks getting home in the opening session of a scheduled six-rounder. Midway through the second Ogogo landed a right hand to the jaw and as Gray looked to retaliate, the 24-year-old threw another big right that landed flush. Gray went down heavily and as Ogogo started celebrating the referee unsurprisingly called it off despite Gray eventually making it to his feet. "I really enjoyed it in there, I love boxing and I'm back doing what I do best," said Ogogo. "I'm not going to get carried away but that was a statement of intent. "I know I'm a long way from the top but I'm going to work hard and get there as fast as I can." Ogogo is now poised to make his American debut on May 18 in Atlantic City on the show that sees Lee Purdy fight world champion Devon Alexander. Khan's younger brother Haroon also made a successful debut in the paid ranks with a 40-37 points victory over Brett Fidoe in the super-flyweight division
