- description: GrooveHouse Students/Artists (singers,actors,rapper,dancers,film makers and editors,engineers,producers) From the GrooveHouse ADP (Artist Development Program) join forces for an assignment to create and film the Boy Band ' Island Essence.' The weekend students were studying out at The G.House Studio (The cave) With Senior members GiantKilla (Rapper) and TeeBoy (Deelicious) The Task for the Day was to hear some old skool jams, pick one and record it and also shoot the vid for it, they stumbled across an 80's classic... all agreed to participate... here they put the youngest from the GrooveHouse ADP (Artist Development Program) then 11 year old Lively as the front man.. the assignment was to record one take styles yes ONE TAKE and film ONE TAKE and complete it within the afternoon. The purpose of the one take assignment was to see how the students could concentrate on their parts whether it was a lead vocal or as a back up vocal, dance routines, or shooting angles or editing, recording, producing they had to try and do their best memorizing their plans / or rehearsed parts even tho they had little time to study it.. of course in reality it was a bit ruff (unlike a professional record where they would of done 20 - 50 takes on a sentence) but they passed with flying colors and enjoyed their time in the process.. These Polynesian South Auckland boyz are committed on developing their Craft and are having fun doing it... keeping busy on the grind, making use of time instead of being bored and robbing a bank lol.
