- description: My mom, Josephine Billman, flipping prathas, a type of Indian Flatbread. She lost her eyesight in 2007 (doctors have yet to identify a specific cause, with some hypothesizing conversion disorder or a rare eye disease they haven't understood yet). Born and raised in Singapore, her mother taught her to cook at nine years old, and my mom hasn't stopped since. Despite the loss of her sight, she believes she is still getting better at her art everyday. We did these couple of shorts in honor of her 50th birthday, along with an AMA on Reddit.
