Some of the industry's most well-known names were part of a sleazy sex scandal sting operation that played out on television. The alleged accused include Om Prakash Rao, Guru Deshpande, Diwakar Babu, Govind Raju and artist and fashion co-ordinator Ravi Belli Chukki, and Manja (Kal Maja), among others, with several of them seen in near nude compromising situations on camera. The sting was conducted after several aspiring actresses complained about the casting couch in the industry. Om Prakash Rao is heard on camera boasting that he has slept with most of the heroines in the industry today, even naming a few. Guru Deshpande is seen attempting to kiss the girl in the sting operation.
