Consider the stampede of horror and indignation this woman stirred when she went to town on a raw, feathered bird during a Montreal commute. In a video, posted on YouTube earlier this month, a woman is seen yanking feathers from the creature, before gorging on its raw parts. The clip, shot on a moving Montreal subway car on July 1, also captures a wide range of responses from her neighbours, from polite aversion to THERE'S A LADY EATING A BIRD. "I'm going to vomit," the man who was filming the scene is heard saying. Later, he adds, "And she's eating it! She's eating it!" Her peculiar repast causes a gentle cascade of horror, as passengers quietly make their way towards the opposite end of the car. It has also, apparently, occasioned an investigation. “She was eating a raw bird inside the train and there’s people that were disgusted by this incident,” Const. Manuel Couture of the Montreal Police told CBC News. And while gorging on a raw bird isn't strictly illegal, QMI Agency reports, there may be a case to be made for disturbing the peace. "We'll start by finding her, then doing an interview with her," Couture told the news organization. "Then we'll see if we'll go for psychiatric care, criminal (charges), or both."
