  • description: Amid the noise and chaos that rocked the AP Assembly on Saturday, there was one speech that left the Congress ministers baffled. After keeping mum for a month post release from jail, it was time for MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi to slam the Congress over its irregularities and conspiracies to get back at those who revolted against the party. Akbar said that he was sent to jail after his party withdrew support to the Congress. He accused the ruling party of hatching conspiracies citing example of Jagan case. He said Jagan was sent to jail after he quit the Congress party in the past and now TRS leaders faced the same fate for defying Congress. "As long as Jagan was with the Congress, he was very nice. He left Congress and the CBI filed cases against him," he said referring to Jagan's imprisonment. He also said that the Congress cannot scare people with cases. "These cases cannot suppress our voice and we will never bow down," he added. Akbaruddin warned Kiran Kumar Reddy indirectly saying that Reddy brothers too are bound to face similar situation as others in future. "Cases will be registered against the Reddy brothers too," he said. "If anyone dares Congress, he would be sent to jail," the MIM leader said on the floor of Assembly adding that these incidents proved that the above statement is true. He said there was not much difference between the budget presented during the TDP regime and what Congress had presented now. The MIM leader alleged that about 50,000 religious clashes had taken place during the Congress rule. The welfare and developments of the Muslims, recommendations made by any committee were not implemented, he added. Reacting to Akbaruddin's accusations, the CM defended himself saying, "The Congress is no way related to Akbaruddin's case and the party never scares anybody to settle personal scores." -Siva@Sakshipost
