- description: A recent study conducted in the setting of a valve server, about the correlation between hats and relative skill. The red soldier (with a hat!) wisely served the cause of this study as an observer. Note the scout who comes into play at 1:24. The hatless scoundrel is quickly disposed off in under 20 seconds by other hatless rapscallion. We can safely deduce the average time it takes a group of 4 hatless players to kill another hatless player averages around 20 seconds. The time it took for them to kill someone with a hat is 80 seconds, unsurprisingly higher. My results indicate a 1:4 skill increase while under the influence of a hat. P.S. Further studies about the intimidating effect of quickswitching weapons will have to be conducted. The audible bonk switching has thus far proved to leave 36% of f2pers trembling in fear.
