- description: FULLTIME: All Blacks 42 Ireland 10 - The final 20 minutes may have been forgettable - as both teams lost shape thanks to the influx of substitutions - but the first hour was an All Black cracker as they dispatched Ireland by an eventual 32 points. The star of the show was debutant Julian Savea who set Eden Park alight with a hat-trick of tries but he was merely a conspicuous cog in a well-oiled All Black machine. The set-piece worked well, the ball retention was mainly good and Carter, Aaron Smith and later Piri Weepu controlled the game well. Dagg glided through the defence on the halfway line and after a cameo from Read, who was down on the ground until Israel passed him the ball, Conrad Smith stepped through for his 22 Test try. With the set-piece moving forward, Read picked up the ball from the back, met the gain line and then passed inside to Adam Thomson who flopped over for the try. Thomson has just come on to the field for Vito while the controversial Blues pair of Weepu and Williams have replaced Smith and Rettalick respectively. Carter can't convert. 51mins: All Blacks 30 Ireland 10 - TRY! The visitors get a try completely against the run of play. Carter tried a deft grubber inside the Irish half but it rebounded to green. Sexton quickly got his hands on the ball and kicked ahead 50 metres for his winger Fergus McFadden who easily outsprinted Richie McCaw for the ball. HALFTIME: All Blacks 23 Ireland 3 - The Irish have come to play but they have run into an All Black machine intent on continuing their world champion legacy. The visitors have had their share of territory but have been unable to penetrate the black wall and only have a Sexton penalty to show for all of their endeavour. The All Blacks though have taken their chances and brilliantly. Two tries to Savea and 13 points from Carter has the home side 20 points ahead and it is well deserved. The 21-year-old has been simply breath-taking and he has bagged a double from close range after Dagg floated a beautiful pass to his winger. Carter converts from the sideline - magic! 26mins: All Blacks 16 Ireland 3 - TRY! Ireland kick the ball away and the All Blacks blast them on the counter. Zac Guildford spread the ball to Conrad Smith who found SBW on the inside. Williams then passed to Carter who found Savea alone on the wing who sprinted 40 metres for a try on debut. Brilliant and this Jonah comparison could be apt. Carter converts. 15mins: All Blacks 9 Ireland 3 - Julian Savea has arrived! Ireland fullback Rob Kearney ran into the young winger but got hammered in the biggest example of' smashed him bro' so far. The All Blacks then drive over and win a penalty. Carter steps up from pretty much 55 metres out on the angle and nails it. What groin? 12mins: All Blacks 6 Ireland 3 - The All Blacks have been under intense pressure and have failed to use the big wind blowing behind them but as soon as they do get over the halfway line, they get a penalty. Carter steps up from 47 metres out and reclaims the lead for the home side. 7min: All Blacks 3 Ireland 3 - Jonathan Sexton replies with a penalty of his own after the All Blacks slip off-side. The kick was from a difficult angle on the 40 metre. Tough but made it look easy. 5min: All Blacks 3 Ireland 0 - Carter gets the All Blacks on the board through after the Irish infringed at the breakdown. All Blacks look up for this. 1min: All Blacks 0 Ireland 0 - Daniel Carter gets us underway but let's quickly reflect on the haka. The under pressure Piri Weepu led the classic war dance and the Irish respected it by standing on the 10 metre line.... Still sends shivers down the spine.
