On Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 11 a.m., two men entered the Mona Clara Jewellers at 808 York Mills Road. It is alleged that: - two men took control of the two people inside the store - one of the men was armed with a black handgun and forced one of the people to open the jewelry display case - both men removed a quantity of jewels and placed them in bags they were carrying The men were inside the store for approximately five minutes and fled using the back door. Police are releasing security camera footage of the robbery. The men are described as: - suspect #1 is described as black and 5'11". He was wearing what appeared to be a black burka with shiny details on both arms, black gloves, men’s boots, and armed with a gun. - suspect #2 is described as 6'3".
